Short Biography

Professor Amine NAIT-ALI was born in 1972. He earned his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, "Ingénieur d’état en électronique," from the University of Sciences and Technology (USTO) in Oran in 1994. Subsequently, in 1995, he obtained his DEA degree, "Diplôme des Études Approfondies," in Signal Processing and Automatics from the University of Paris XI. In 1998, he completed his Ph.D. degree in Biosignal Processing and received his "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches" (HDR) from the University of Paris XII in 2007.

 

His academic journey began as an Associate Professor in 1999, and since 2009, he has held the position of full Professor at the same university. His research interests encompass biosignal processing, image processing, biometrics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with applications in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and security.

Professor NAIT-ALI has made substantial contributions to the academic community, co-authoring hundreds of international peer-reviewed papers and serving as an editor and co-editor of seven books in the fields of biomedical engineering and biometrics, with publications by Springer, ISTE-Wiley, and Hermes.

He has actively organized and participated in numerous national, European, and international workshops and has served as a reviewer for prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, PLOS ONE, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, and Digital Signal Processing. Additionally, he serves as the UPEC coordinator of an ERASMUS-MUNDUS Master Program managed by the European consortium comprising UJM (Saint-Etienne), UEF (Finland), and Polito (Italy).

 

Furthermore, Professor NAIT-ALI currently is the General Chair of the International Conference on Bio-engineering for Smart Technologies (BioSMART), technically supported by IEEE. He is a member of several esteemed organizations, including IEEE, SFGBM, GDR ISIS, and STIC-Santé. In the past, he served as the representative of the IEEE Biomedical Engineering Society within the IEEE Biometric Council.

 

Professor Amine NAIT-ALI was the Vice-Dean for International Affairs at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). Currently, his the Vice-President for Research and Innovation Development
